Terry Lynn Goke            September 25, 1943 - July 10, 2017

Terry Lynn Goke, age 73, of Montfort, died on Monday morning July 10, 2017, at his residence in Montfort. Terry was born on Sept. 25, 1943 in Dubuque, IA, the son of Kenneth and Frances (Beyer) Goke. He married Lynn Trent on Nov. 16, 1963 in Platteville, WI.

Terry was a proud member of the first graduating class of Iowa Grant High School in 1961. He enlisted in the US Army from 1963 to 1965. Upon returning home, he farmed on the family dairy farm until his retirement. Terry enjoyed going for “walks” on the trail, talking to friends and neighbors and spending time with family.

Terry is survived by his wife Lynn of Montfort; five children, Jason( Marie) Goke of Belleville, Yvonne (Bryan) Yokes of Hartland, Tina (Tom) Arndt of Montfort, Chris Goke of Marion, and Greg ( Jennifer) Goke of Windsor, 14 grandchildren, two great grandchildren; and five sisters, Norma (Carl) Bierman of Cuba City, Cheryl (Sath) Menon of Dodgeville, Joanne (Mark) Cotter of Madison, Judy (Steve) Scott of Belmont and Janice (Ed) Goke-Kaucic of Newnan, GA.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday morning July 13, 2017 at the Soman-Larson Funeral Home in Montfort. Burial with military honors will follow in the Rock Church Cemetery in rural Livingston. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday evening July 12, 2017 at the Soman-Larson Funeral Home in Montfort and from 9:30 A.M. until the time of service on Thursday morning. In lieu of plants and flowers, a memorial fund is being established in loving memory of Terry L. Goke.
